The property occupies the former site of Maagiri, the residence of former First Lady Naseema, which was later known as Maagiri Lodge. Maagiri Hotel officially opened its doors in April 2018, marking a new chapter in Malé’s hospitality landscape. Developed by local investors with a strong understanding of Maldivian tourism, the hotel was designed to deliver modern comfort while preserving a meaningful connection to the past.
